Air Filter Regulator YT-200
The YT-200 is the 1/4 in ported aluminium filter regulator in the Rotork YTC range — the compact, 0.62 kg unit that bolts straight onto a single positioner or I/P converter and drops a plant air header to a clean, stable instrument supply through a 5-micron element.

Technical Description
The YT-200 is the 1/4 in ported, aluminium bodied member of the Rotork YTC filter regulator family, and at 0.62 kg it is the one to specify when a single positioner or I/P converter needs its own clean, regulated supply. Both the air port and the gauge port are Rc 1/4 (or 1/4 NPT), which is what lets the YT-200 sit directly against a YT-1000 or YT-930 body without an adapter or a length of tubing. It accepts a plant header of up to 1.7 MPa (17 bar) and delivers a stable outlet of up to 0.42 MPa on the A-type spring or 0.84 MPa on the B type, filtering everything down through a 5-micron element on the way.
How the YT-200 differs from the rest of the series
The four models in this family share one pressure envelope and one filter rating; what separates them is port size and body material.
- YT-220 — the same aluminium body with 1/2 in air ports instead of 1/4 in. Choose it when the regulator has to pass more air than a single instrument draws: a large double-acting actuator stroking fast, or one regulator feeding a small manifold. Its gauge port stays at 1/4 in, and it weighs 0.88 kg with a manual drain.
- YT-205 — the 1/4 NPT unit in stainless steel 316, for salt-laden coastal air or washdown areas. 1.5 kg.
- YT-225 — the 1/2 NPT unit in stainless steel 316. 2.2 kg.
In short: stay with the YT-200 unless you need the flow of the 1/2 in port (go to the YT-220) or a corrosion-resistant body (go to the YT-205).

Both manual and automatic drain versions are available. The relief function vents to atmosphere whenever downstream pressure rises above the set point — useful when a positioner’s exhaust backs up into the supply line.
Typical application
The commonest job for a YT-200 in the plants we supply is as the dedicated regulator on a small globe control valve in a sugar mill — juice heater steam, imbibition water, syrup flow — where a spring-and-diaphragm actuator is driven by a YT-1000L linear positioner. Mill instrument air is typically drawn from a shared header of carbon steel pipe, so it arrives carrying mill scale, compressor oil carry-over and condensate; the 5-micron element and a manual drain bowl are what keep that out of the positioner’s nozzle-flapper. The same arrangement suits textile sizing and dyeing lines, and the 1/4 in body is the right size for the small pneumatic actuators typical of those services. Where the regulator sits outdoors on a cement plant or a biogas skid, order the stainless YT-205 in place of this model.
